The Child of the Ball
This is a festival that is celebrated on New Year's Day, or as it is known in Cuéllar, "Children's Day", organized by the Brotherhood of the Child Ball. The party is also repeated on the day of the Kings. Prior to the procession, celebrating a ninth in the Church of St. Esteban, from where the procession started. Currently sale of the Church of Saint Miguel and collected in the Saint Esteban. A group of twelve dancers accompanying the procession, dressed in a suit very colourful that belonged to the Confraternity of the Virgin of "Candelas", recovered at the present time and that can only belong marriages. This suit is in the eighteenth century and is composed of short jacket and short wide, in a fabric color damasquinado currant, cords and half pink wool knee adorned with bonds. It was full dress with low acordonadas boots, wide-brimmed hat in cloth and rosettes on the sleeves and back. They dance with castanets and the son of the "dulzaina" and "tambor". It can be said that this is a popular procession in which the faithful accompanying these "dancers" dancing the "Jota".
