Nature: Hiking. "Cañada de La Reina""

"The Walk" runs in their entirety by Mt No. 10 "El Pelayo", and much of the trail through the Glen of "Cañada de la Reina". Also integrated into the trip a small wetland named "Laguna de los Chotos", which still remained dry throughout the year, kept the vegetation typical of these places. The cattle crossings in the province of Segovia (Cañadas, Twine, Veredas, etc.). Form an extensive network of roads that run through scenic beauty, sheltering them an important part of wildlife. FLORA, FAUNA AND USES OF MOUNT
The Mount "Pelayo" consists mainly of "resineros" pine (P. pinaster) of the various products that are extracted. Due to poor soil, vegetation is sparse and varied, but we can find without much problem species like the "Arabian lavendera" (Lavandula stoechas), thyme (Thymus vulgaris), "jaras" (Cistus laurifolius), brooms (Cytisus scoparius) the everlasting (Helichrysum stoechas). As for wildlife stand out as "picapinos" forest birds, pigeons torcaces, coal, garrapinos, "abubillas", "oropéndolas", "milanos" and "ratoneros", among others. Species like hunting rabbits, foxes, wild boars and partridge or other non-hunting as a squirrel or badger.

HIKING "LAGUNA DE LOS CHOTOS "
The "Laguna de los Chotos" has an approximate area of one hectare, being located on continental dunes. It is home endorreico because it is a hydrological system closed without drainage path and that is not born any flow. Stay dry throughout the year, while maintaining its own surface vegetation of these wetlands, with ferns, rushes and reeds some of the species that we can find easily.

From the SG-342, next to "Finca Palomares" 5 km de Cuéllar in the direction of Arroyo de Cuéllar.
